Understanding Human Resource for growing businesses and the Pest Control Industry
Before starting California HR Connection, I worked in the Pest Control Industry for 25 years. My positions include Office Manager, Field Technician, Service Administrator, Accounting/Payroll Manager and a Benefits/Human Resource Manager.
I worked for Orkin and Isotech Pest Management. Both companies provided me with knowledge of the industry, both in the office and in the field. Our industry has certainly changed over the years and so have the laws that govern California employers.
While at Isotech, the company's growth went from 5 employees to 86 and took us through many HR challenges and requirements.
In speaking with owners, managers and employees in many industries, I found the need for help and guidance with policies, procedures and California law. With that, I started HR4pestcontrol and California HR Connection. My passion became helping business with HR and HR resources.
Having policies and procedures in place, provides the confidence to hire that first employee and continue company growth.
